The amount collected in the welfare fund will be used for the following activities as determined by the committee:
(a) To provide financial assistance to the employees or their family members suffering from natural calamities or accidents,
(b) To establish and operate a school for the educational development of the children of the employees,
(c) To provide scholarships to the dependent children of employees,
(d) To establish and operate a health treatment center for the employee and his family (e) To provide financial support for the treatment of the employee and his family member if it is recommended by the medical board approved by the Government of Nepal that he is suffering from any serious illness,
(f) To establish and operate a Child Care Center for the proper protection of the children of the employees,
(g) To develop residential areas for employees,
(h) To provide loans at concessional rates to employees,
(i) To conduct income-generating programs for increasing the income of employees and their families,
(j) To perform other functions deemed necessary by the committee.
